I’m always trying to think of ways to foster a love of vocabulary in the classroom. I’ve created wordadvisor.co.uk resource (sorry not a real website), where children can choose their favourite word or explore a new word, and then persuade their friends why they should use it. Children can illustrate their word, use their persuasive writing skills to sell it, put it in a sentence and find or suggest some synonyms.
